Since the very first opening of the Climbing Wall in February 2013, we have been constantly striving to improve all services for enthusiasts of this beautiful sport. We started with a climbing area of approximately 1500 m2, which also includes the area of the boulder part.
Over time, we improved the children’s corner, added a trampoline, installed heaters, insulated part of the hall, added fitness equipment, a campus, a climbing shop and much more. And among all these improvements, first the drytool part with an area of 104 m2 was added, then the upper climbing sector dedicated to shorter and more perpendicular lines with an area of about 400 m2, a smaller outer wall with 95 m2 was added.
After three years of cooperation with the team Anatomic we can really enjoy the biggest climbing wall in Slovakia. By building another sector with an area of 450 m2, we have a total of about 2500 m2 of climbing area. The not very complicated Monster project cost a lot of effort from colleagues from Žilina, it required a lot of patience and dexterity not only of the builders but also of the designers themselves.
The statics of the more complicated parts of Monster was very important in the preparation and implementation of the project. The Anatomic designers had to reinforce and strengthen the hanging hand and head of the shot more thoroughly. There is a viewpoint near the head that can be climbed, but over time you can also get to it in an easier way, behind the wall.
The left hand is sufficiently reinforced with reinforcement and we performed a stress test on it. According to European standards, the walls are tested for a load of 800 kg, but we loaded it for 1 ton. She passed those tests brilliantly.

Left hand – hanging part
We could classify the new climbing sector as moderately demanding. The climbing lines stretch with a more or less slight overhang, more demanding ascents lead mostly through the Monsters and especially through his left arm. We currently have about 30 climbing routes built in this part, and their number will be around this number.
